Let's get serious for a moment. Have you ever noticed that every time a game developer gets interviewed on a PS3 exclusive he somehow slips in the phrase, "this can only be done on the power of the Playstation 3." We have heard it time and time again, the "Cell Processor", the real reason you bought a PS3.
The reason is simple, Sony is targeting a specific audience, the same people who want the fastest car, the biggest TV, and the loudest speakers. The people who bought a PS3 wanted the most powerful console, so now they looking for reason to show it off, and justify their purchase.
The Playstation 3 may be the most powerful console right now, but the Xbox was the most powerful console of the last generation. So how come I've never heard Bungie say, "Halo can only be done on the power of the Xbox."
Sony needs to rethink its marketing strategy, because if it's any indication, this type of marketing has failed in the past.
