No-Pro Football 2K8

Syntheticist isn't going to beat on this dead horse for long, but surely with Playstation 3 being region-free for games, we should have seen Microsoft's Ivory Tower issue an order for all games to be region-free on the 360. That hasn't happened, and PAL gamers in Europe and Oceania are going to be left without All-Pro Football 2K8 for the foreseeable future.

Of course, the revolt on the 2K forums has been swift, but with the relatively few posters, there can't be much incentive for 2K Sports to issue any sort of message on the matter.

Region-locking only serves to alienate the user-base, and hurt sales of games that otherwise would not be worth a release in other territories. No-one is going to claim that New Zealand is a hotbed of NFL action, but if a consumer wants to go to all the trouble of importing it, there can be little argument as to why that shouldn't happen.
